Cultural Mosaic of Rajasthan

Rajasthan Cultural Tour,Rajastha Travel Tours

The grandiose architectural wonders of Rajasthan reverberate with interesting legends of heroism and romance which stand to narrate tales of bygone eras. The magic and charisma of Rajasthan is unparalleled in the world for its heritage, culture, safaris, sand dunes and lush green forests with its wildlife. Rajasthan is often expressed as a massive open-air museum with remnants well preserved for the travelers. It is action-packed with outdoor adventures like trailing a tiger or watching birds on the wetlands. Tourists have options to try out safaris on horses, camels, elephants or jeeps in the backdrop of the Aravali Hills - India's oldest mountain range. Tourists are sure to be bewildered by the sloppy sand dunes or pamper themselves in the profligate heritage properties. Rajasthan in fact, has something for anyone and everyone.

Rajasthan has made a major contribution to Indian art with a rich literary tradition, especially of bardic poetry. Chand Bardai's poem on Prithvi Raj Raso or 'Chand Raisa', the earliest manuscript of which dates to the 12th century is especially noteworthy. A admired source of entertainment is the 'khyal', a dance drama composed in verse with festive, historical, or romantic themes. The typical folk dance of Rajasthan is the 'ghoomar', which is performed on festive occasions only by women. The 'geer' dance (performed by men and women), the 'panihari' (a graceful dance for women), and the 'kacchi ghori' (in which male dancers ride dummy horses) are also popular.
