Ajmer is a very beautiful city, since the mountain surrounds it by all sides. You can run your eyes through 360 degrees and you will find the spectacular Aravali Mountains. Ajmer, also known as Ajaymeru, was the city, which was ruled by Prithviraj Chauhan. Its population was approximately 500,000 in 2001. The city gives its name to a district, and also to a former province of British India called Ajmer-Merwara.


Alwar, the colorful and historic city is surrounded by the Aravali Hills. It is situated in the north east of Rajasthan state of India. The topographical location of the city made it as one of the most preferred destinations of Rajasthan. It is not far away from the well-known cities of Rajasthan and from India's capital city Delhi. It is around 160 km south of Delhi and around 150 km north of Jaipur.


Bharatpur is a small town famous for its bird sanctuary. The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world. Many tourists traveling to this destination have rate it as the highlight of their visit. It is just 55 kilometers from Agra and 176 kilometers from Jaipur. The story of Chittaurgarh in the north Indian state of Rajasthan is a saga of valour, tenacity and sacrifice. Chittaurgarh (also spelled Chittorgarh) is a treasure trove of history and offers to the traveller an insight into the life of the Great Rajput rulers, who laid down their lives fighting a superior enemy instead of leading a life of submission under them. Jaipur, The Pink City of Rajasthan was founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha clan, the astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh. The pink color was used at the time of construction of buildings to create an impression of red sandstone buildings, repainted in 1876, during the visit of the Prince of Wales. The city has it all whether forts, palaces, hotels and gardens. The red sandstones used in the structures capture your eyes even at a short glance in the city.



Jaisalmer is a city of gilded magic situated in the heart of the Thar Desert. Of Jaisalmer is the main attraction and tourists can enjoy camel riding in the Jaisalmer Thar Desert. Famous for its magnificent forts and palaces, Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan and a major tourist attraction in the country. The city is situated at the edge of the Thar Desert with Jaisalmer on its west, Barmar, Jalor and Pali on its south, Bikaner on its north, and Nagaur on the eastern side. The city dominated by the massive Mehrangarh fort on a rocky hill is charming with its wealth of historic attractions and colourful markets, which specialises in antiques.


The dusty land of Rajasthan has a surprise for you and this surprise is, Mount Abu. The only hill station or highest peak of Aravali Mountains in the state of Rajasthan. Mount Abu is Rajasthan's only hill retreat, situated 1200 meters above sea level. Pushkar is an important center for Hindu pilgrims. Nestles in the eastern region of Rajasthan, Pushkar is located 11 km north west of the city of Ajmer. Located on the edge of the Thar Desert, Pushkar is parted from Ajmer by Nag Pahar. Pushkar Rajasthan is world-renowned for its Puskar Fair or camel Fair. Ranakpur is located in the mountain ranges of Pali district, 23 km away from the Phalna railway station. The Ranakpur Jain Temple was built during the reign of the liberal and gifted monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. An enormous basement covers 48,000 sq. feet area. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns.


Ranthambore is one of the famous destinations in the western state of India, Rajasthan. Surrounded by the Vindhya and Aravali hill ranges and located very near the outer fringes of the Thar Desert, Ranthambore offers the best of the desert as well as plain area near the hills. Due to its proximity to the Thar Desert, the vegetation here is that of a deciduous forest. Ranthambore used to be the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur.


Sariska can be defined as a place of ruggedly beautiful contrasts and untamed wildernesses. It is situated in the state of Rajasthan in the backdrop of the Aravali Hills. Earlier Sariska was the hunting reserve of the royal family of Alwar. The topography of Sariska supports scrub-thorn arid forests, dry deciduous forests, rocks and grasses. Besides its rich flora and fauna this wildlife sanctuary boasts of some exotic temples belonging to the medieval time.


Shekhawati region of Rajasthan is famous for its magnificent painted Havelis. Built by rich merchants of the region, these Havelis shows a unique style of architecture. Most of the buildings are dated from 18th century to early 20th century. Shekhawati region is also well known as open-air art gallery. Jhunjhunun, Mandawa, Fatehpur and Nawalgarh are the major towns of Shekhawati.
