Rishabdevji Temple

Rishabdev ji Temple,Rajasthan Pilgrimage Travel Package The Rishabh Dev Temple stationed in Dhulev, 64 km from Udaipur, on the banks of the Koyal River, is dedicated to Lord Rishabdev, the first Jain Tirthankar. The Rishabhdevji temple dates back to the 15th century.
The idol of Lord Rishabdev is 35 feet high and is placed on a 1.25 feet high stone. In the centre are two bulls around an image of the goddess, statues of elephants and lions etc. All the cravings on the walls superbly embody the sixteen dreams of Lord Rishabdev's mother. The image is also refered to as 'Dhulevdhani' because of its location at Dhulev. Moreover, a lot of saffron is presented here as offering to the Lord and thus the name 'Kesariaji'.

The Rishabdev Temple is a three-storied marble architecture positioned on a majestic pedestal with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars-all intricately carved. The holy throne (singhasana), the golden door, the high-spired domes, the spirals of the temple together adds to the brilliance of the temple.

The temple embraces four small shrines with 80 spires buttressed by 420 columns with a stupefying handiwork containing images of all the 24 Tirthankaras. The creatively imprinted nymphs playing the flute in varied dance stances at a height of 45 feet offer a riveting vista. The assembly hall holds two big bells weighing 108 kg whose musical melody echoes all over. The four entrances of the temple maintain four huge white-marble images of the Jain Tirthankara Adinath. Elephants made of black stone stand at the doorway to welcome pilgrims as they enter the temple. The image of Goddess Chakreshvari stands on the north and on the southern side lies the image of goddess Padmavati. Navgrah composed of nine images. Various rites and rituals are followed in this temple which includes shuddhi in which water and milk is used. The entire temple premise is spirited with aroma soothing your nerves giving you a clean, pure feel suitable for devotion. The images are festooned, devotional hymns (bhajans) are sung and religious assemblies are organized recurrently. Every year a Rath - Yatra and fair is organized.
